The learner will:
- Tell a story or recount an experience with appropriate facts and relevant details
- Use an appropriate voice level for the situation
- Express ideas and feelings clearly with relevant detail
- Speak clearly enough to be understood
Supportive Practices
The adult will:
- Provide opportunities for oral language use
- Model appropriate oral presentation skills
- Encourage students to use appropriate volume and pacing
- Speak to and engage students in group and individual conversations daily
- Re-phrase student’s sentence structure or grammar by repeating the sentence properly
