Refresh Your Instructional Repertoire with the PA Roadmap
Categories of documents include:
General Classroom Strategies offer both elementary and secondary educators classroom/time management, instructional, and assessment strategies.
ELA Academic Strategies, a monthly publication, is available for K-3, 4-6, and 7-12, and focuses on strategies specific to ELA instruction.
Math Academic Strategies, a monthly publication, is available for K-3, 4-6, and 7-12, and focuses on strategies specific to math instruction.
Grade Level Academic Strategies offer educators an opportunity to select the concepts in the left-hand column of the document, complete a self-check for current instructional and assessment practices, and after identifying areas of need, review the right-hand column offering specific strategies/resources that may strengthen the selected concepts.
Focus Documents define areas of high-level focus in content areas by grade level in both ELA and math, created specifically for the 2020-2021 school year. While all standards deserve a defined level of instruction, neglecting key concepts may result in learning gaps in student skill and understanding and may leave students unprepared for the challenges of a later grade.
